Postpartum: vaginal birth, cesarean section and rectal diastasis
ARE YOU OR DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO…
Are you expecting a baby and want to know more about what happens after birth?
Are recovering from a cesarean section
Doubts about what to do after a vaginal birth
Have noticed separation of the abdominal muscles and are wondering what to do about it?
Often, after giving birth, women don't get much guidance from doctors and healthcare professionals about what to do to take care of their bodies in the right way and at the right time.
Our osteopath, Deborah Tassi, will explain what to expect after giving birth, as well as the challenges the mother may face during the transition period after pregnancy. These can affect the musculoskeletal system and delay a return to exercise and a successful transition to life as a mother.
At the end of the workshop you will:
Get an introduction to musculoskeletal complications that can occur during childbirth
Understand how the pelvic ring, lower back and pelvic floor are affected in the post-pregnancy period
Learn successful strategies to facilitate return to exercise and adjustment to life in the fourth trimester and the first year postpartum
Discover how osteopathy can help with postpartum recovery
