Irritable bowel syndrome
Irritable bowel syndrome is called Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Discomfort or pain in the stomach accompanied by changed stool patterns, which is due to disturbances of the bowel movements/motility and sensory system.
There can be several causes of the problem and this makes it difficult to diagnose. Often it can be related to food allergies or intolerances that have not been proven. Many achieve great success with a change in diet. There may also be a stress-related component. If you have a bloated feeling and a feeling of tightness in your stomach, this can reinforce the feeling of being stressed. Conversely, when you are stressed, the function of the smooth muscles in the intestinal system is inhibited. When you suffer from digestive problems, you also have an imbalanced intestinal flora, and absorption of nutrients is reduced. This can affect the immune system and other systems in the body, resulting in skin problems, frequent sinus infections and colds. It also affects social life, which takes up a lot of consciousness and reduces the joy of life.
Reasons
- Emotional trauma
- Stress, Anxiety, depression
- Previous intestinal infection and poor intestinal flora
- Unbalanced diet
- Too little exercise
- Genetic predisposition
- Changed pattern of bowel movements and the nervous system in the bowel
- Too little or ineffective sleep
The treatment will consist of
- Work with the connective tissue in the abdominal region. Stimulation of this tissue can decrease the stiffness and mobility of the intestine
- Improve circulation in the digestive system
- Work with the spine and nervous system
- Mental relaxation to reduce stress levels in the body
